Our Company

Sun Coast Marine Sea School are the first recognised TIDAL motor-cruiser and powerboat training centre on mainland Spain. From our base in the beautiful Puerto de la Duquesa on Spain's western Costa del Sol, we offer a wide range of RYA practical and shore based courses from beginner to Yachtmaster. Training takes place aboard our fully MCA coded flybridge cruisers under the watchful eye of an experienced RYA yachtmaster instructor.

School Principal, Phil Jackson has a wealth of experience in the marine industry.

From his humble beginnings as a deckhand on fishing boats, Phil has gone on to become one of the RYA's most experienced instructors. He has worked with many training schools on the Solent as well as undertaking own boat tuition & Yacht delivery across the UK and Mediterranean.

For boat owners we also offer the option of own boat tuition. Our aim is to provide the very best of training in a relaxed atmosphere, where you can gain valuable experience & qualifications whilst enjoying a holiday at the same time !!!

In order to maintain the highest standards, we only ever utilise RYA qualified instructors for our training courses. We also have excellent charter packages available, where one of our boats can provide the ultimate holiday experience for you, your friends or family. Again our skippered charters only use fully qualified crew to ensure the safety of all our charter customers.
